During testing, we won't send home any written homework. We won't have a reading story or spelling test. We will have a spelling list that we work with at school, but the words are ones your child should already know - and we won't have a test on them.We will, however, still have our weekly passage! DIBELS is just around the corner and we CANNOT slack off on reading our passages!
Don't forget - 90 is the magic number (in words per minute)!
We do ask that your child achieve more than 90 words per minute on the weekly passage because he or she should have lots of practice reading it.
(Just wanted to be sure you understood why the goal on the weekly passages is higher than 90 now.)
