Mrs. Waldrep's (1st grade teacher @ BC) husband, Chris is in the running for a national award called America's Most Wanted AllStars. This award is for first responders that have provided outstanding service for their community. Chris started the DEC (Drug Endangered Children) program for Lawrence County. The program is to provide children who are in dangerous situations (where drugs are involved) with additional services such as medical and mental health services, representation in court, as well as new clothes and other necessities throughout the rest of their childhood. He also provides substance abuse education at local church services, schools and community organizations.
