Thursday...we're getting ready for 2nd semester. We'll be watching a movie (Prancer) and cleaning up our classroom to prepare for January 7th!
During the holiday break...your homework is to READ, READ, READ!! Read books, read the newspaper, read the cereal box or a recipe, read our blog. I'm sending home a few old passages, also...it's very important to continue reading over the break...
2nd graders are expected to read 90 words per minute during the 2nd semester of 2nd grade! Not to mention, reading is a REALLY FUN way to learn while we're out of school for a couple of week.
